Project WHEEL

Sell-Side Beratung – Deutschland

Description

As part of the WHEEL project, Edelweiss advised a renowned logistics company specializing in just-in-time logistics for a large automobile manufacturer in southern Germany. The succession planning and sale of the company took place as part of a regulated transaction process to another large logistics service provider that was already working for a large automobile group. This horizontal integration was synergistically very efficient and enabled the buyer to enter a very large new customer base and thus take over the logistics services for two large automobile manufacturers in southern Germany. This transaction was very profitable for the seller and sustainable for the buyer in the future.

Quote from the management of Edelweiss:

“The WHEEL project was a great success and testifies to the highly specialized advice that Edelweiss offers in the field of logistics services. We are proud to have acted as a transaction consultant and to have led the entire process to a complete success. This transaction strengthens our position as a trustworthy partner in the logistics sector.”

Approach

Through strategic advice and the regulated sales process, Edelweiss has helped the buyer to successfully expand into the business area of just-in-time logistics for German automobile manufacturers.
